Smaller sizes are now available for Harvey Tool’s line of Mold Cutters! Our Mold Cutters have an extremely short length of cut and have a solid tapered neck for maximum rigidity. These tools are now available down to .015” and in two different varieties: Type 1 variety has a shorter reach that transitions to the shank, which increases rigidity. Type 2 variety has a solid neck that tapers out to the shank allowing for maximum reach without sacrificing rigidity. These tools are AlTiN Nano coated, which offers increased heat resistance and hardness. They are ideal for contour machining of mold and die cavities and excellent in readily machinable medium alloy steels, stainless steels, and tool steels.
