Harvey Tool Company is founded by John Harvey. Mr. Harvey sees an untapped opportunity in the cutting tool industry to build a company focused on niche products that are typically unavailable by other manufacturers: “Your Specials Are Our Standards” The first Harvey Tool Company flyer, a one page black and white, is created.

The one page flyer grows to a catalog with 8 pages and 64 tools.

1990: First Harvey Tool Company Catalog

2002: Authorized Distributors

Harvey Tool Company makes a strategic decision to eliminate selling direct to end-user accounts and focuses resources on building stronger relationships with distributor partners across the US & Canada. Authorized Harvey Tool Distributors provide stronger end-user onsite support and become an extension to the Harvey Tool Sales Team.

Manufacturing consulting expert and financial leader, Peter Jenkins brings seasoned management experience to prepare the company for future growth.

2004: Peter Jenkins Joins Harvey Tool Company as President

Peter Jenkins takes the lead as President and Owner of Harvey Tool Company. John Harvey retires.

Harvey Tool Company begins a distributor rationalization process, limiting and eliminating distributors to build better partnerships with distributors who are actively supporting end-users and promoting the Harvey Tool brand. Within the first two years of this initiative, Harvey Tool Company eliminates more than 160 distributors.

2008: Distribution Rationalization

Harvey Tool Company celebrates its 25th Anniversary and releases a 120 page catalog containing over 5,000 specialty tools!

Harvey Tool Company’s corporate headquarters moves down the street to 428 Newburyport Turnpike in Rowley, Massachusetts.

2011: Harvey Tool Company Moves to a Larger Facility

Harvey Tool Company celebrates its 30th Anniversary and releases a 268 page catalog containing over 12,000 specialty tools!

Harvey Tool Company acquires Helical Solutions, a leading manufacturer of carbide cutting tools of exceptional quality, innovation, and performance.

2015: Harvey Tool Company Acquires Helical Solutions

Harvey Performance Company, the parent company of the Harvey Tool and Helical Solutions brands, is introduced to the machining industry.

Harvey Tool and its sister brand, Helical Solutions, welcome Micro 100, a leading provider of solid carbide turning tools, to the Harvey Performance Company family.

2019: Welcoming Micro 100 to the Harvey Performance Company Family
