  • 24° Per Side, 48° Included
  • 2 Straight Flutes
  • Center Cutting
  • Solid Carbide

Please note: Due to geometric constraints, tools are extremely fragile. For greatly reduced cycle times and improved tool life, consider using the stronger "with drop hole" dovetail cutters. Please consult your design engineer for the viability of a properly located drop hole.

Extremely poor geometry with this cutter, .048" neck dia. x .171 cut dia. and .031R with carbide is silly. Shop designer ordered cutters for job and when I took one look at these things I was immediately skeptical. Tried .0005 depth of cut and chip per tooth and snap then tried .0002 and snap, .0001 peel mill snap, with this geometry you will never be able to go full depth except maybe in plastic but then you wouldn't make it from carbide, I was cutting aluminum. Parker Hannifin specs need to be revisited and that 48deg. changed to perhaps 42deg. will greatly increase the neck dia.

Having used various sizes and versions of Harvey O-Ring Dovetail cutters, I have found that the cutters provided using 'Without Drop Hole Provision' have a very weak neck and may break very easily. Extremely light passes are recommended but my luck with them is very poor. I tend to create drop holes that Design Engineers usually accept as usable.
